Through this Annadhanam is performed to 5,000 people every day, through various temples in Chennai. Thavathiru Sathish Adigalar is the founder for this Trust.
In this simple scheme interested families will contribute three kilograms of rice and half kilogram of dhall every month. Every day Alaya Sevathries (Volunteers) start at 10.00 A.M. from Alayam for collecting rice and dhall from the different parts of the city and return to Alayam at 6.00 pm. All the food grains collected by the Sevathries are kept at Annasalai. Next day the food grains will be segregated by women Sevathries ready for cooking that day.
In this scheme on the occasion of family member's birthdays, wedding anniversary days and remembrance days of their ancestors, a family will be contributing a nominal amount to the Alayam and Annadhanam can be performed to the place of their liking.
All these activities are promptly supervised and executed by Tmt. Dhanalakshmi Ammal, (W/o, Sathis Adigalar) affectionately called as "Amma" by Alaya Sevathries.
